Fundraising

Like many schools, Wilchester relies on strong community support to bridge the gap between district allocated funds and its operating expenses.  In order to provide the highest quality education possible for our students, the Wilchester PTA typically facilitates multiple fundraising and special events each year.  Given the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unclear which of the following events scheduled for the 2020-2021 school year will be able to proceed as planned:

  • We have already made the difficult decision to cancel Carnival for the second year in a row. We are actively working out a plan to hold a virtual prize drawing for the items donated last Spring.  Stay tuned for details.
  • Hall of Fame Underwriting Campaign which includes both CORPORATE and FAMILY giving is our ONLY direct donation fundraiser! 100% of the proceeds received directly impact the students and staff at WCE!!! Wilchester PTA is a 501c-(3) organization. As such, your donation is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
  • Our biannual Auction is tentatively scheduled for February 2021.

0.5% of eligible purchases.  Judging by the number of Amazon trucks in the neighborhood this number should be huge!!! You must sign up from EACH device (phone/tablet/desktop). Sign your friends and family up too!

How to turn on AmazonSmile in the mobile app:

  1. Open the app and find ’Settings’ in the main menu (☰).
  2. Tap on ‘AmazonSmile’ under ‘Programs and Features’
  3. Search for ‘Wilchester Elementary PTA’ and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone (you must do this for each device).

From a web browser:

  1. Go to smile.amazon.com
  2. Sign in with your Amazon.com credentials
  3. Search for “Wilchester Elementary PTA”
